The LSCU would like to inform readers that through our CU webinar notifications, on Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. CT, an unauthorized email with the subject line “Happy or Not?” was sent to a portion of our Education Department email list. This email did not originate with our vendor, who sends webinar notifications, and the unauthorized sending was identified and stopped immediately.

The vendor is taking steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again by conducting a full review of its email database security. They also are personally contacting everyone who replied directly to this email. In addition, a message will be sent to everyone who received the initial email.
