Credit Union National Association (CUNA) will host its second annual Young Professionals Advocacy Training in September. The all-day program will feature outside speakers, a congressional staff panel, and updates from CUNA and League personnel. A variety of topics will be covered including an overview of CUNA’s political program, the role credit union professionals play in advocacy, hill visit preparation and networking opportunities.

“Young professionals are the future of the credit union movement and we need to stress the importance of advocacy now. The success we saw last year with the program inspired us to expand this year’s offering, and we look forward to welcoming young credit union professionals,” said Richard Gose, CUNA chief political officer. “The program is designed to teach attendees the benefits of advocacy, how to build strong relationships with their members of Congress, and best practices in district and Hill meetings.”

Credit union professionals have the opportunity to attend two training sessions on Sept. 10 and Sept. 24. Registration is now available, and guests will enjoy an evening reception.
