The Federal Reserve will host public town hall meetings in its 12 districts in late October and early November to discuss its Faster Payments Settlement Assessment notice in the Federal Register. CUNA continues to be a strong advocate for a secure faster payments system accessible to institutions of all sizes.
The notice seeks public comment on potential actions to facilitate real-time interbank settlement of faster payments. Comments are due Dec. 14.

Oct. 30, Philadelphia, noon to 3 p.m.;
Oct. 31: Houston, 9 a.m. to noon;
Oct. 31: Charlotte, N.C., 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.;
Nov. 2: New York, 9 a.m. to noon;
Nov. 5: Los Angeles, 1 to 4 p.m.;
Nov. 7: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 1 to 4 p.m.;
Nov. 9: Boston, noon to 3 p.m.;
Nov. 9, Minneapolis, noon to 3 p.m.;
Nov. 14: St. Louis, 1 to 4 p.m.;
Nov. 16: Cleveland, noon to 3 p.m.;
Nov. 19: Atlanta, Ga., 1 to 4 p.m.;
