Fairwinds Credit Union expands with bank acquisition

Fairwinds Credit Union in Orlando, FL, will acquire Friends Bank of New Smyrna Beach, FL, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.

The article says, “Fairwinds, which plans to complete the transaction by the third quarter of this year, holds assets valued at $2.3 billion and has more than 190,000 members and 500 employees. Friends Bank, meanwhile, has more than 3,500 customers and assets of $95 million. Those customers will become Fairwinds members upon completion of the deal.”
