adminJunior Achievement (JA) announced that it will honor the National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) with the 2017-2018 U.S. Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award on behalf of America’s Credit Unions for providing more than 15,000 volunteer hours to Junior Achievement USA.
The U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award will be presented to 44 organizations at an awards ceremony and celebration event at the New York Stock Exchange during the JA Volunteer Summit on March 12 in New York. The event will be part of Junior Achievement’s year-long Centennial Celebration.
“The Foundation is proud of the work that credit unions are doing in their communities to improve the financial futures of the next generation through Junior Achievement,” said Gigi Hyland, executive director at the Foundation. “This recognition is proof of the dedication from credit unions to go above and beyond their duties as financial service providers to exemplify and advocate for the credit union difference.”
