Patrick La Pine, president/CEO of the LSCU, wrote a feature for Credit Union Times, offering helpful information to credit unions facing disasters. The article not only addressed issues credit unions in Florida and South Alabama faced during the unexpectedly wrathful Hurricane Michael but went on to share tips that other credit unions and leagues could use when addressing natural disasters.

A key point in his advice was to be prepared with a Disaster Council, as the LSCU & Affiliates was during Michael, so that teams can get boots on the ground quickly to offer assistance to those in need.
