ēCO CU Foundation to host Magic City Money Matters Financial Conference
In response to the need for millennial financial education, the eCO Credit Union Foundation will host the first Magic City Money Matters Financial Conference on Aug. 8. The conference will take place at Regions Field and will feature Erin Lowry, author of Broke Millennial, as the keynote speaker. Conference registrants will also receive a ticket to the Barons game that follows and a meal.
In 2015, ēCO Credit Union created the eCO Credit Union Foundation to help increase its financial education outreach. The eCO Credit Union Foundation’s mission is to make financial education resources available to people of all ages and demographics, specifically in the areas served by ēCO Credit Union. From providing materials for classes to sponsoring community events to offering a free online financial education platform, the Foundation has already impacted thousands of people with valuable financial education.

VyStar CU holds grand opening celebration of new Ocala branch
Brian E. Wolfburg, president/CEO of VyStar Credit Union, announced the official opening of VyStar’s 51st branch location at 464 SW College Road, Ocala, FL. VyStar officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new location on July 10 and held other grand opening festivities through July 13.
The Ocala branch is one of VyStar’s new branch design concepts. The design combines a fresh look with enhanced technology intended to increase efficiency and improve member experience.
America’s First Federal Credit Union holds fiesta fundraiser
The AmFirst accounting department hosted a fiesta fundraiser for the credit union’s Community First charity recently. Mexican cuisine was the star of the day with a nacho and taco salad bar allowing individuals to personalize their plates with favorite flavors.
Proceeds benefited American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Aletheia House, and Sight Savers America The Community First campaign is an employee-driven fundraising campaign that has focused on three different charities each year for the past six years.
