Mark Your Calendar for Upcoming Council Meetings

Join the League of Southeastern Credit Unions’ (LSCU) Council Program to take advantage of two upcoming council meetings. LSCU Council meetings are held virtually via Zoom, and, once you join a council, you will receive the meeting information in a calendar invite. These council meetings are open to all LSCU Council members.

Register today for the LSCU Marketing and Business Development Council to participate in the first meeting of the year scheduled for Thursday, April 18, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. ET. During this session, called “Turning Websites into Branches,” we will discuss how to rebrand in the credit union industry.

Melissa Jemison has a passion for creating art that moves people. She strongly believes that good design should be a balance of functionality and beauty. Today, she channels this philosophy into building award-winning brands and websites for credit unions through a mix of strategy and visual storytelling. Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and Design with a concentration in Multicultural Marketing from Florida State University and more than a decade of industry experience in Art Direction, Print and Digital Design, Branding, and UI/UX.

Join the LSCU Accounting and Finance Council to participate in the first meeting of the year scheduled for Thursday, May 16, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. ET. During this session, we will explore liquidity and the ease with which assets can be bought and sold. We’ll delve into recent trends that have impacted liquidity and discuss what the future might hold for credit unions and their members.

Carla Harper is the Senior Vice President of Finance at Listerhill Credit Union in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Harper has been with Listerhill Credit Union for 21 years. Additionally, she has experience in public accounting and as a Director of Finance and Business Manager in the medical profession and is a graduate of the University of North Alabama.
