First Florida Credit Union Takes Home Top Honors at 2024 Best of Bold City Awards

First Florida Credit Union in Jacksonville, Florida, and its President and CEO Brent Lister claimed top honors at the 2024 Best of Bold City Community’s Choice Awards Gala for the second year in a row, winning the titles of “Best Credit Union” and “Best Boss” respectively.

Thanks to the unwavering support of the Jacksonville community, First Florida Credit Union outperformed even larger credit unions, securing the “Best Credit Union” title in the Finance Category.

Lister was also celebrated at the Gala, where he was awarded the prestigious “Best Boss” title in the Top Employers – People category. After two decades with First Florida Credit Union, Lister said he finds the recognition both gratifying and exciting.

“Receiving these awards is a true honor, as it reflects not only the hard work we’ve put into building this credit union, but also the trust and support we’ve earned from the community,” Lister said. “Every day, our team goes above and beyond to connect with our members, and it’s their commitment to excellence that has made this achievement possible.”

The Best of Bold City Community’s Choice Awards celebrate hundreds of businesses and organizations across Jacksonville in more than 160 categories. The annual awards program begins with public nominations, narrowing down to the top five contenders in each category. From there, a voting round determines the finalists and winners. The winners are announced at the Awards Gala and featured in a special print and online edition of The Florida Times-Union.

The Best of Bold City Community’s Choice Awards is produced by Ventures and powered locally by jacksonville.com, as part of the USA Today network. The full award list is available on YourChoiceAwards.com/BoldCity.
