This milestone highlights the dedication of credit unions in our tri-state region to building brighter futures through collaboration and member empowerment.
As we commemorate this special day, credit unions across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia are engaging in various activities to honor the spirit of unity and cooperation that defines the global credit union movement. Here’s a look at what credit unions near you are doing to celebrate ICU Day:
North Georgia Credit Union is celebrating with a special meet and greet with U.S. Representative Andrew Clyde at its Toccoa Branch from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. There will be refreshments, free gifts, and a chance to win a cash prize. As part of the celebration, the $5 membership fee will be waived for any new members who join North Georgia Credit Union between October 15 – 18.
Interstate Credit Union is hosting a member appreciation tailgate, offering a day of food, fun, and cash giveaways. Members can visit any branch between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to enjoy the festivities and enter for a chance to win prizes. Prize drawings for four $25 Visa gift cards will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with a grand prize of $100 awarded at each location. Children under 12 can participate in a coloring contest by picking up or downloading a coloring sheet and returning it to a branch by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17. One winner from each branch will receive a $10 Visa gift card.
GP Federal Credit Union is hosting an ICU Day lunch at their locations in Rome, Carrollton, and Summerville. From 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., attendees can enjoy lunch as part of the celebration of “One World… through cooperative finance.”
Keys Federal Credit Union is celebrating ICU Day with treats and giveaways at all branches. Members are invited to join the festivities, recognizing the long-standing commitment to community and cooperative principles.
Launch Credit Union is offering an opportunity to experience the “Credit Union Difference” from October 14 – 18. During this period, both current and new members can earn $100 each when an existing member refers a new member or business to the credit union. Launch Credit Union will deposit $100 into the savings accounts of both the referring member and the new member or business.
PriorityOne Credit Union of Florida is offering a special promotion from October 17 – 18, where members who refer a friend or family member who opens both a savings and checking account will receive $75, and the new member will also receive $75.
MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union is hosting a coloring contest for children 12 and under. Members can pick up a coloring sheet at any branch or download the coloring sheet. To enter, participants must submit both the completed coloring sheet and entry form at a branch location by the end of the day on Thursday, October 17. Five winners will be selected, with one winner from each age group receiving a $20 deposit into their Johnny Appleseed savings account. Participation is limited to one entry per child, and entrants must be members of MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union.
Each Family Savings Credit Union branch will be giving away a GCI Freestyle Outdoor Rocker Chair to one lucky member and will have snack available for members.
New Horizons Credit Union members can visit any branch from October 1 – 17, to enter a drawing for a $100 Visa Gift Card and receive a goodie while supplies last. Additionally, on Thursday, October 17, members are invited to visit any branch for a special treat in celebration of Member Appreciation Day, available while supplies last.
