A record number of more than 5,000 credit union representatives and more than 200 attendees from Alabama and Florida credit unions made the trek this week to Washington, D.C., to tell the credit union story.

The first day of the CUNA GAC provided a great sneak preview of what was in store for the week and featured a small asset size credit union roundtable; new attendee orientation; and the Exhibit Hall grand opening spotlighting more than 200 credit union vendors and services.
The LSCU sponsored a welcome reception Sunday evening, providing plenty of opportunity for networking and celebration. Energy was high and culminated with LSCU’s recognition of Joe Melbourne, who will son retire from CFE Credit Union, headquartered in Lake Mary, FL, and who served as a board member of LSCU. Don’t miss video highlights from the first day here. Stay tuned for more CUNA GAC as we bring you daily updates in eSignal.
