The deadline for nominations for the 2019 CUNA Director elections has passed. Five directors have been elected by acclamation. A member of LSCU’s Board of Directors, Brad Green, president/CEO, Listerhill CU (AL), will serve again in 2019 as one of CUNA’s Directors. Green will represent District 3, Class B, which includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Class B: Credit union with at least 38,000 but not more than 141,000 natural-person members.

District 5—Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming:

Class B: Credit unions having at least 38,000 but not more than 141,000 natural-person members.

  • District 6, Class A:  Debie Keesee, President/CEO, Spokane Media FCU (WA)

District 6–Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, American Samoa, Guam, Johnston Atoll, Midway Atoll, Northern Mariana Islands, Palmyra Atoll, and Wake Atoll:

Class A: Credit unions having less than 38,000 natural-person members;

  • Class C:  John Sackett, Director, Royal CU (WI)

Class C: Credit unions having more than 141,000 natural-person members

  • Class C:  Scott Woods, President/CEO, South Carolina FCU (SC)

Class C: Credit unions having more than 141,000 natural-person members

CUNA will be proceeding with two contested elections:

  • District 2, Class A:  Christine Blake, President/CEO, Cardinal CU (OH), and Joe Thomas, President/CEO, Fairfax County FCU (VA)

District 2–Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia:

Class A: Credit unions having less than 38,000 natural-person members.

and

  • Class D:  Mark Cummins, President/CEO, Minnesota CU Network (MN); Troy Stang, President/CEO, Northwest CU Association; and Caroline Willard, President/CEO, Cornerstone Credit Union League

Class D: League Presidents

Ballots for the District 2, Class A and Class D elections will be sent electronically and via USPS Tuesday, Dec. 18 to eligible members.  Voting will run through Jan. 29, with results announced on Jan. 30.  Terms will begin March 11, 2019, and run through the 2022 CUNA annual general meeting
