More than- 200 professionals participated in InfraGard’s Financial Fraud Summit in Trussville, Ala., on Nov. 6. Speakers, who were all presently or formerly from law enforcement, discussed a variety of topics like: business email compromise, ATM skimmers and gift card fraud schemes. Many credit union professionals attended the event, including staff from Avadian Credit Union, America’s First Federal Credit Union, Alabama One Credit Union, Heritage South Credit Union and Ft. McClellan Credit Union.

“Events like this this are a great opportunity for our credit unions to learn from and network with the law enforcement community so that they can work collectively to better protect our credit unions and members from being victims of malignant actors,” said Mike Lee, director of regulatory advocacy for the LSCU.
