Lizeth GeorgeFlorida credit unions were thankful to meet with Governor Ron DeSantis on November 1, 2022 to discuss issues affected credit unions. With the General Election a week away, it was a great opportunity to connect with the Governor on credit union priorities and thank him for his action on Florida’s hurricane recovery. Attendees were able to discuss hurricane relief efforts led by credit unions, the need for public deposits, and the differences credit unions are making in communities across Florida.
Thank you to Governor DeSantis and our credit union advocates for continuing to make a difference for the credit union movement. Credit unions in attendance were Achieva Credit Union, Florida West Coast Credit Union, Suncoast Credit Union, and Publix Employees Federal Credit Union.
