The Credit Union Legislative Action Committee (CULAC) was recently given two high distinctions. The PAC ranked first in supporting elected officials for the 2016 election cycle. The Center for Responsive Politics ranked CUNA’s political committee first among trade associations and fifth among all PACs.
CULAC’s support was bipartisan with 51 percent of the PAC going to Republicans and 49 percent going to Democrats. The CUNA/League system raised more than $12 million for the 2014 election cycle. So far in 2015, more than $1.7 million for current cycle.
The Alabama and Florida PACs had their best year in 2014 as both met 100 percent of their goals.
