Each year, one of the most anticipated events at the Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo is the Governmental Affairs Luncheon. The luncheon has been headlined by a big name speaker every year that provides attendees an inside look at politics, elections, and Congress. Past speakers include Rep. Bill Posey (R-FL), The Hill’s AB Stoddard, and the Cook Political Report’s David Wasserman. This year the luncheon keynote speaker will be Prof. Steffen Schmidt, aka Dr. Politics. Schmidt will discuss this year’s presidential election. The 2016 elections are becoming one of the most interesting in anyone’s lifetime. Schmidt will share his insights on what to expect in November.
The luncheon is Thursday June 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Mediterranean 6-7 rooms of the JW Marriott. This is a separate ticketed event. Click the link and it takes you to a secure site. It will accept credit cards or an electronic check. Seats for the luncheon are $75.00 and proceeds go to the LSCU Federal Political Action Committee (FedPAC). All contributions must be individual contributions and not corporate contributions. Attendees can pay in person with cash, check, or credit card .
