adminFive Star Credit Union in Alabama and Community First Credit Union in Florida will be honored with the second annual Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC) Circle of Excellence Award at this year’s GAC. This award is presented to the credit union that raised the most funds for CULAC (or an affiliated league federal PAC) in its state in the previous year.
The two credit unions will be honored with recognition in several venues throughout the GAC next week, including in the CULAC Recognition of Donors book, on printed materials at CULAC events, and in a video presentation during the conference’s general session.
Five Star Credit Union raised $13,848 for CULAC, and Community First CU raised $8,780.
Through leadership these and other CUs displayed, CULAC raised nearly $2.6 million in 2017, funds that will be put to use electing a pro-credit union majority in the next Congress.
