The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates has opened nominations for the 2020 LSCU Awards, recognizing those professionals, volunteers, young professionals and credit unions that have made outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the credit union movement. It’s time to shine a light on the people and credit unions in our industry who deserve recognition and often remain behind the scenes.
“Credit unions work hard every day to make a positive difference in people’s lives,” said Jordan Burroughs, vice president of member engagement for the LSCU. “It is important to recognize those credit unions, employees, volunteers and young professionals who are leading the way in the credit union movement. There are so many great examples of credit unions and individuals doing amazing work for their members, employees and communities, and that is worth celebrating.”
We encourage our credit unions to submit nominations internally and externally to receive well-deserved recognition. It can be someone from your credit union or a peer you admire.
LSCU Award categories are:
- Distinguished Service Award
- Professional of the Year
- Young Professional of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Credit Union of the Year: up to $100 million in assets
- Credit Union of the Year: $100-$500 million in assets
- Credit Union of the Year: $500 million or more
This award cycle represents the first in which LSCU encompasses three states. To celebrate this milestone, we will award Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Credit Union of the Year awards to LSCU-affiliated credit unions in each of the three states: Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
To streamline the nomination process, you will no longer be required to provide a credit union’s financial data to nominate an employee – that makes it easier than ever to put someone you admire in the spotlight.
