On Tuesday, August 23, voters in Florida went to the polls to elect candidates who will move on to the November General Election, or were elected without further opposition. LSCU-endorsed candidates who won in Florida’s Primary Election include:

- District 5 – John Rutherford
- District 12 – Gus Bilirakis
- District 14 – Kathy Castor
- District 16 – Vern Buchanan
- District 19 – Byron Donalds
Additionally, FedPAC-supported candidates Aaron Bean (candidate for District 4), Michael Waltz (candidate for District 6), Daniel Webster (candidate for District 11), Laurel Lee (candidate for District 15), Scott Franklin (candidate for District 18), Brian Mast (candidate for District 21), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (candidate for District 25), Mario Diaz-Balart (candidate for District 26), Maria Salazar (candidate for District 27), and Carlos Gimenez (candidate for District 28) won their primaries.
90% of Florida CUPAC-supported candidates won in yesterday’s Primary Election in Florida, including:

LSCU began vetting and supporting many of these state and federal candidates in early 2021 as the 2022 Election Cycle officially commenced. The process included countless individual candidate interviews and meetings, in-district meetings and check presentations, and many more touchpoints before final decisions were made.
