LSCU hosts March 25 webinar to cover effects of Families First Coronavirus Response Act

As we continue to work through the coronavirus pandemic, LSCU is looking for ways to bring added value to our member credit unions, even as we cannot meet with them in person. Last week we held a webinar/dialogue for credit unions to discuss the pandemic and best practices for CUs during this time. The response from the participants indicated that 100% of them found it helpful and reported the information was both needed and appreciated.

The next webinar will be this Wednesday, March 25, at 2:30 p.m. ET. Dion Kohler, a human resources attorney and expert, will walk our members through the recently passed Families First Coronavirus Response Act (H.R.6201).

The remaining time will be dedicated to open dialogue concerning COVID-19 related issues, connecting participants with your peers across Alabama, Florida and Georgia. This Zoom platform will allow for interactive discussion to share best practices for how credit unions in the Southeast are responding to the coronavirus pandemic. You will receive your login information after registering, and be sure to log in from your computer to utilize all of the features available during this webinar. If there are specific topics or questions you would like addressed, please submit them ahead of time to Jennifer Martin by the close of business on March 24.

“We will also spend time discussing any changes that have occurred over the last few days and provide credit unions with as much information as possible,” said Jared Ross, LSCU president.
