Middle Georgia Credit Unions, LSCU Host Senate President Pro Tempore John F. Kennedy for Legislative Update

Earlier this week, Middle Georgia credit union leaders had the privilege of meeting with Georgia Senate President Pro Tempore John F. Kennedy at Robins Financial Credit Union in Warner Robins. The League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) is grateful for the opportunity to engage Senator Kennedy in a roundtable discussion around credit union priorities, such as the benefit remote notarization would have on credit unions’ ability to serve their members and the importance of maintaining the current payments system by protecting interchange. Credit unions also shared the great work they do every day to teach financial literacy in local schools as well as prioritizing members’ financial wellness.

With the 2024 legislative session right around the corner, we appreciate Senator Kennedy’s visit to Robins Financial Credit Union and attention to issues that matter most to Georgia’s credit unions.
