The Shared Compliance Consultant Program offered by LSCU is designed to help reduce the burden of compliance with credit unions by allowing them to share the cost. A Compliance Consultant is hired, trained and certified by LSCU and then leased to participating credit unions. The time and expense allocated to each credit union coincides with the level of participation.
“The Shared Compliance Consultant Program is such a valuable resource for so many credit unions because their employees are wearing multiple hats,” said Laura Gober, LSCU vice president of compliance and regulatory services. “This program not only provides them with the help they need to stay on top of the ever-changing regulations, but it saves the credit union money by sharing in the costs associated with hiring, training and maintaining a compliance professional.”
