Your Voice Matters: Join Us at the Virginia Advocacy Conference 2025

The Virginia Advocacy Conference is an exciting new chapter in The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates’ commitment to advancing the interests of credit unions across the Commonwealth and beyond. Taking place on January 21 – 22, 2025, in Richmond, Virgina, this two-day event combines the best of the long-standing Credit Union Day at the General Assembly with dynamic new programming to enhance your advocacy experience. Whether you’re a seasoned advocate or just beginning your journey, this conference is your chance to make a meaningful impact.

What’s New in 2025?

Our revamped format offers everything you’ve come to love about Credit Union Day—meetings with state legislators, the iconic Capitol Steps photo, meaningful conversations on key legislative priorities—and, of course, red scarves!

Day 1: Training and Celebration

Begin with impactful sessions at the Credit Union House of Virginia, including updates on financial regulations, legislative trends, and advocacy training to empower grassroots efforts.

The day concludes with a celebratory awards ceremony featuring the Lawmaker of the Year Award and Virginia Credit Union Political Action Committee (VACUPAC) honors.

Day 2: Action and Engagement

Spend the morning meeting with members of the Virginia General Assembly, sharing stories that showcase the Credit Union Difference. The day wraps up with our annual group photo on the Capitol Steps—a powerful image of credit unions united in advocacy.

Who Should Attend?

This conference is designed for:

  • CEOs
  • C-Suite Executives
  • Managers
  • Board Members
  • Supervisory Committees
  • Emerging Professionals

Whether you’re a decision-maker or an emerging leader, there’s something valuable for everyone to gain.

Why Attend?

The League believes that Advocacy is our number one priority. That’s why the League and LEVERAGE are doubling down on that statement by waiving all registration fees for attendees of our 2025 State Advocacy Conferences. This initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring that every credit union has the opportunity to participate and make their voices heard on the issues that matter most.

Plan Your Trip

The conference will be held at the Credit Union House of Virginia, conveniently located near the Virginia State Capitol at 108 N. 8th Street in Richmond. A room block is available at the nearby Omni Richmond Hotel, so be sure to secure your spot, as space is limited!

Together, we can amplify the Credit Union Difference and ensure our voices are heard. We look forward to seeing you in January!
