Because young professionals (YPs) are the future of the credit union movement, CUNA will host two advocacy trainings during  the month of September.  The first will be held on Monday, Sept. 9 and the second on Monday, Sept. 23. Both will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Capitol View Room at the Credit Union House.

The program teaches  the benefits of advocacy, how to build strong relationships with Members of Congress, and best practices for district and Capitol Hill meetings. It includes outside speakers, a congressional staff panel, and updates from CUNA and League personnel.  The training concludes with an evening reception.

The cost is $199, and attendees are responsible for all travel and accommodation costs.

Credit unions are asked to identify and invite young professionals to attend these Young Professionals Advocacy Workshops.  Both dates are limited to only 25 attendees, so please encourage potential attendees to register as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, contact  Richard Gose or Adam Engelman.
