Tomorrow, Friday, March 29, is the last day to nominate your favorite professionals, volunteers, and credit unions that have made outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the credit union movement throughout Alabama, Florida, and Georgia for the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) Awards!
Last year, Phil Boozer of America’s First Federal Credit Union in Alabama, Lisa D. Brown of Central Credit Union of Florida in Florida, and Heiwote Tadesse of Associated Credit Union in Georgia were the winners for the Professional of the Year award.
The League encourages all affiliated members to nominate themselves, individuals, or other credit unions for the following categories:
- Credit Union of the Year
- Distinguished Service
- Professional of the Year
- Young Professional of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
Award winners will be notified confidentially, and LSCU Awards will be presented during the 2024 Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo (SCUCE) from June 11 – 14 in Orlando, Florida.
Additionally, with Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the National Association of Federally Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU) merging to become America’s Credit Unions, the CUNA Awards program has been suspended for 2024 while they assess a new combined awards program moving forward. Thus, the LSCU Awards will be the only awards platform available this year for credit unions in our tri-state footprint to honor their credit union or credit union professionals.
