LSCU Celebrates 14 Credit Unions Winning CUNA Statewide Awards

The League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU), through the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) award platform, recently recognized 14 credit unions for outstanding outreach to their members and communities.

The CUNA Awards program features four awards categories based on asset size. The Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Services award commends a credit union for its outstanding efforts in community projects. The Louise Herring Award for Philosophy in Action award honors credit unions that are making exceptional efforts to include credit union philosophy in daily operations. The Desjardins Financial Education awards celebrates leadership in both youth and adult financial literacy initiatives.

Desjardins Financial Education Youth Award

  • Redstone Federal Credit Union in Huntsville, Alabama, won 1st place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
  • All In Credit Union in Daleville, Alabama, won 2nd place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
  • Calhoun Liberty Credit Union in Blountstown, Florida, won 1st place among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
  • Delta Community Credit Union in Atlanta, Georgia, won 1st place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
  • Georgia United Credit Union in Duluth, Georgia, won 2nd place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.

Desjardins Financial Education Adult Award

  • AlabamaONE Credit Union in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, won 1st place among credit unions between $250 million and $1 billion in assets.
  • Delta Community Credit Union in Atlanta, Georgia, won 1st place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.

Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award

  • All In Credit Union in Daleville, Alabama, won 1st place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
  • New Horizons Credit Union in Mobile, Alabama, won 1st place among credit unions between $250 million and $1 billion in assets.
  • Heritage South Credit Union in Sylacauga, Alabama, won 1st place among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
  • Birmingham City Credit Union in Birmingham, Alabama, won 1st place among credit unions with less than $50 million in assets.
  • JM Associates Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, Florida, won 1st place among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
  • Miami Postal Service Credit Union in Miami, Florida, won 2nd place among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
  • Associated Credit Union in Norcross, Georgia, won 1st place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
  • Robins Financial Credit Union in Warner Robins, Georgia, won 2nd place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.

Louise Herring for Philosophy in Action Award

  • Avadian Credit Union in Birmingham, Alabama, won 1st place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
  • All In Credit Union in Daleville, Alabama, won 2nd place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
  • Miami Postal Service Credit Union in Miami, Florida, won 1st place among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
  • Associated Credit Union in Norcross, Georgia, won 1st place among credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.

All 1st place statewide winners have been entered into the national awards program administered by CUNA. The results of the national contest will be announced in November.
