A closer look at the Call Report data for the second quarter shows that Alabama and Florida credit unions are seeing growth in assets, membership, and loans. Both states are on record pace with membership and loans, while Florida once again set a new record for assets. Delinquency and net charge offs are also falling.

Below is a closer look at the numbers for the second quarter by state:

 Alabama

  • $19.4 billion in assets; a slight dip in 2Q
  • 1.94 million members; a new record
  • $8.8 billion in loans; a new record
  • $535 million in MBLs; $22 million new since 1Q


Florida

  • $52.2 billion in assets; a new record
  • 5.11 million members; a new record
  • $32.5 billion in loans; a new record
  • $1.7 billion in MBLs; $44 million new since 1Q

The net worth ratio for credit unions in both states is at or above the national credit union average. Credit unions in Alabama are experiencing 11.61 percent net worth ratio, which is .66 percent higher than the national average while credit unions in Florida are right at the national average at 10.9 percent.
