LSCU needs CU input on NCUA’s RFI on digital information for exams

LSCU is requesting input from credit unions regarding NCUA’s Request for Information on utilizing digital information for exams. Mike Lee, LSCU’s director of regulatory advocacy, has put together the NCUA’s questions in a document.

The NCUA’s request for information is part of a goal to modernize reporting to improve efficiency and effectiveness in achieving the NCUA’s mandates under the Federal Credit Union Act. The agency seeks to support a predominately offsite examination and supervision model by taking advantage of new and emerging approaches and techniques for utilizing data and technology

“Please consider reviewing these questions at your credit union and providing us information to improve the nature of NCUA exams as they change with technology,” Mike said. “Also, if you think that a series of Zoom meetings discussing these questions would be useful please let us know.”

Please send your input or questions to Michael.lee@lscu.coop by Aug. 24. The questions are available here.
