Buckeye Community Federal Credit Union CEO Retiring

Charlton Knowles; President/CEO of Buckeye Community Federal Credit Union (BCFCU) for more than 33 years is set to retire on February 28, 2022. BCFCU will host a small retirement reception for Charlton on February 24, 2022 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the BCFCU conference room at 1825 S. Jefferson Street, Perry, FL 32348.

Charlton Graduated from Florida State University with a Business of Science in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Charlton has served as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and as Chamber treasurer for many years. He has also served as President of Kiwanis for two separate terms and as Kiwanis treasurer for many years. He has many volunteer hours serving as Co-chairman of United Way, vice chairman of Vision 2020, and in many other community support capacities.

Charlton was born, raised, and stayed in Taylor County. Quality of Life in Taylor County and the enjoyment there of, have always been a priority for he and his family. He has been an active member of Midway Baptist Church for several years. He is married to Monica Tuten Knowles and they have two children and two grandchildren.
