The credit union industry lost another great leader and innovator last week. Paul Simkins Sr. passed away on Friday, May 26. Simkins served as president/CEO of several credit unions over the years, most particularly McCoy Federal Credit Union, Pan Am Horizons, and McDill AFB FCU.
He was also one of the founders of CU24 and established a national reputation in the industry as a turn-around specialist.
Visitation will be June 1, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 895 S. Goldenrod Road in Orlando. Funeral services will be held at University Carillon UMC, 1395 Campus View Court in Oviedo. Read more at CUTimes.
