The holiday season is the volunteering season for many Addition Financial Credit Union team members, as employees of the Lake Mary-based credit donated more than 300 hours of time to support nonprofit organizations across Central Florida as part of Addition Financial Credit Union’s “Season of Giving.”
Team members at Addition Financial Credit Union organized festive volunteer events for nonprofits in need around the holidays, assisting with anything from building gingerbread houses with adults with disabilities to wrapping donated gifts for children in need.
Some of the Central Florida nonprofits Addition Financial Credit Union volunteers donated their time to in November and December include:
- Orlando Family Stage
- Give Kids the World Village
- The Sharing Center
- Quest, Inc.
- UCP of Central Florida
- A Gift for Teaching
Addition Financial Credit Union offers all full-time team members 16 hours of paid time each year to volunteer with any nonprofit of their choice. In 2024, the credit union is set to surpass 1,500 volunteer hours logged across the organization.
“Helping organize and direct our team members who are so generous with their time and donations is one of my true joys at the credit union,” said Cassie Roach, a Marketing Principal Specialist with Addition Financial Credit Union. “There are so many worthy causes and opportunities to help our community, especially this time of year, so we are grateful for our opportunity to give back wherever we can.”
The credit union, along with vendor Turning Point Solutions, also proudly delivered more than $11,000 worth of gifts to 55 Central Florida children this December in collaboration with the Devereaux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida for the Holiday Cheer campaign.
