The Credit Union Leadership Institute Pilot Program is a two-week leadership development school designed for credit union professionals who have demonstrated an ability to assume greater roles and responsibilities within their organizations and the credit union industry as a whole. This exciting and engaging program facilitates performance-based learning in the art of leadership and the power of collaboration. The Institute is a collaborative venture between the League of Southeastern Credit Unions and the Florida State University College of Business’ Carl DeSantis Center for Executive Management Education.
“As we looked to develop a program that would help cultivate the next generation of credit union leaders, we knew partnering with a major university would build an experience that was both fulfilling and useful. I cannot tell you how excited we are to be working with the great team at the FSU College of Business’ Carl DeSantis Center for Executive Management Education,” said Jared Ross, President of LSCU.
The first week of the two-week 2021 Pilot Program is taking place May 16-21, 2021 in Tallahassee, Fla, after the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the initial launch planned for March of 2020. The Credit Union Leadership Institute kicked off on Sunday evening with a Welcome Reception sponsored by Corporate One Federal Credit Union.
The Credit Union Leadership Institute Pilot Program is being delivered in two parts – one week each in the spring and fall of 2021. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to those individuals who complete both. For more information about enrolling in future programs, please contact Education@lscu.coop.
