Free Webinar Wednesday covers security concerns for reopening branches

On Wednesday, May 27, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET, the LSCU will host a webinar that is a must for any credit union with a branch or fraud concerns. So, basically all credit unions!

The webinar, Security Considerations During a Pandemic, will address the fact that COVID-19  creates the perfect storm for fraudsters and criminal activity affecting financial institutions. SHAZAM will outline basic lobby reopening considerations. This discussion will include current robbery trends and ATM skimming activity.

The presenter is Michael Burke, Senior Robbery and Crisis Management Consultant at SHAZAM. He has more than 30 years of experience in retail loss prevention, criminal justice education, law enforcement and homeland security. He is founding director of Iowa Central Homeland Security Training Center, responsible for development, implementation and instruction for more than 40,000 first responders in critical homeland security curriculum. Active Shooter law enforcement response training and conducting threat assessments for government facilities were included in his responsibilities.

This event is not to be missed and will not be recorded due to the security related subject matter. This webinar is for C-Suite, Leadership, Risk Management, Compliance, Operations and Branch Management/Staff. Be sure you sign up today!

Matthew Griffin, VP/CFO of Marshland Credit Union, just attended the LSCU’s Webinar Wednesday this week and had this to say about it. “LSCU and Deluxe provided a webinar focused on ways the accounting department and its staff can impact the credit union in a positive way. It was such a good topic that I think it deserves some more time to go deeper on the subject!”

Also next Wednesday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET, credit unions can hear Ann Howard, Director of Communications at Growth by Design talk about What You Need to Know About Marketing Efforts Post COVID-19. After weeks of sheltering in home, some of our habits have changed. These changes will impact your credit union’s marketing and public relations efforts going forward.
