Free Webinar Wednesday to focus on power of accounting dept of the future

LSCU & Affiliates is bringing our FREE Webinar Wednesdays directly to member credit unions at a time when the industry will need to adapt to excel. On May 20 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET, the webinar topic is Embracing the Role the Accounting Department Plays in Driving Performance.

This session will focus on the mindsets, skill set and tools the modern accounting professional needs to expand beyond their traditional roles to become the driver of financial performance. During the last 30-plus years, the role of the accountant has evolved from that of Reporter of Financial Condition and Results of Operations in Accordance with GAAP to a Miner of Financial Data that is provided to others for making key performance decisions. The evolution continues. The accounting professional of the future will be the driving force behind building and empowering a culture that drives financial performance.

The session will be led by Barry Adcock, financial performance strategist with Deluxe.

Dale Taratuta, president/CEO of Georgia Heritage FCU, finds value in participating in this new webinar series. “The Webinar Wednesday presented by Alloya Investment Services on May 13 (Economic Impacts of COVID-19: Where to From Here?) contained relevant and worthwhile information. They had excellent summary information on where things stands today, as well as updated data forecasting impacts of the effects of this pandemic.”
