The INSPIRE Conference is a multi-state collaboration designed to be the most powerful and impactful women’s conference for credit unions in the Southeast. Speakers will be influential, empowering, authentic, and, most of all, inspirational women. This conference allows for many networking opportunities for attendees to connect and share ideas and information.
Attend Lena Giakoumopoulos’ presentation on Friday, October 13, from 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. in the Whitley Ballroom for a presentation called “Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) Impacts Women Around the World.” Join Lena Giakoumopoulos, Director of Global Women’s Leadership Network, who will explain this mission and unpacks how the GWLN impacts women on a global scale.

Giakoumopoulos has over 25 years of international experience working in nearly 30 countries in Western, Central, and Eastern Europe. Her background includes managing European Union cross-border cooperation programs through consultancy work, membership recruitment for a national trade association, content development for print and digital media, and directing career services at the American College of Thessaloniki, an educational organization in Northern Greece. Prior to joining World Council as the Corporate Communications Manager in 2017, she was part of the board communications team at the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, an international finance institution, working with ministries of finance and foreign affairs, supporting economic development and regional cooperation in the Black Sea region.
In her role with GWLN since 2018, she is responsible for directing the program, raising awareness, and growing membership to GWLN domestically and internationally, as well as expanding GWLN Sister Societies across the globe. |
