International Learning Journey Returns in 2025

This morning, a call was held to announce the exciting return of the International Learning Journey in 2025, coinciding with International Credit Union Day (ICU Day). The call featured Richard “Rick” Skaggs, President and CEO of USF Federal Credit Union, alongside Robert Kelly, CEO of the Association of British Credit Unions Limited (ABCUL). Also joining the discussion were Mark Littleton, President and CEO of Kinetic Credit Union, and Mike Akers, President and CEO of Hello Credit Union, who shared insights on the transformative benefits of their international partnerships.

During the call, Rick highlighted several key points regarding the significance of global collaboration for credit unions including the importance of engaging with organizations beyond our immediate footprint, focusing on how information sharing regarding regulatory and operational opportunities can enhance credit unions’ effectiveness. He expressed appreciation for the relationship with ABCUL, highlighting the commitment to deepen involvement and collaboration in the future. Rick shared his personal involvement and support for the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), emphasizing the role of international cooperation in shaping the future of the credit union movement.
