LSCU closely monitoring developments with Coronavirus

By Patrick La Pine
LSCU CEO

Over the past several weeks, the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates has been monitoring the situation pertaining to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are continuing to monitor this outbreak.

As many of you know, the virus has recently reached the Southeast. Cases have been confirmed in both Florida and Georgia; and the State of Alabama remains on alert. While the League maintains offices in each of those states, rest assured: we have a comprehensive business continuity plan in place to ensure we are positioned to provide consistent service to our member credit unions.

Furthermore, our 2020 educational events are moving forward as planned at this time. Our events have strong attendance numbers; and the LSCU & Affiliates education team will continually work with event venues, vendors and employees to take appropriate measures to ensure your time with us is safe and successful.

While we continue to focus on our own internal operations, we would also like to be a resource for our affiliated credit unions.

To that end, we have put together a Coronavirus Preparedness Resource Area, which can be found on our website at www.lscu.coop/coronavirus. This site includes facts about the virus and its spread; business continuity and disaster recovery; protection and prevention; member support; and tools to communicate with media.

I encourage you to visit the resource area and take advantage of the tools provided. Feel free to reach out to me or any other LSCU & Affiliates contacts if you have questions or concerns. Our primary objective is to help prepare your credit union to provide the best possible member service — no matter the situation.
