Mark Your Calendar for Upcoming Council Events

Join the League of Southeastern Credit Unions’ (LSCU) Council Program to take advantage of the upcoming LSCU Accounting and Finance Council meeting. LSCU Council meetings are held virtually via Zoom, and, once you join a council, you will receive the meeting information in a calendar invite. These council meetings are open to all LSCU Council members.

Join the LSCU Accounting and Finance Council to participate in the first meeting of the year scheduled for Thursday, May 16, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. ET. During this session, we will explore liquidity and the ease with which assets can be bought and sold. We’ll delve into recent trends that have impacted liquidity and discuss what the future might hold for credit unions and their members.

Carla Harper is the Senior Vice President of Finance at Listerhill Credit Union in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Harper has been with Listerhill Credit Union for 21 years. Additionally, she has experience in public accounting and as a Director of Finance and Business Manager in the medical profession and is a graduate of the University of North Alabama.

Teresa Owens is an accomplished professional who currently serves as the Senior Vice President and CFO at America’s First Federal Credit Union. Teresa has been with her credit union for over 30 years, holding various positions within the Accounting/Finance department. Teresa has also served on several committees and led numerous projects. In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing her credit union’s Financial Operations and Business Intelligence Department.
