As uncertainty continues with COVID-19, credit unions can find ways for staff to be productive if fewer members are coming or calling in or if there are changes to operations (staff working from home, reduced hours in the office, etc.). The LSCU’s online webinars cover subjects from compliance to lending to security and fraud. Recorded webinars are available 24 hours, seven days a week, and live webinars are offered regularly.
“The LSCU is focused on offering webinars on timely topics that will give your credit union helpful takeaway information to share with other staff,” said Maureen Bock, LSCU’s senior director of education. “If some credit union staff are placed in a situation where avoiding contact is the best solution or branch traffic starts to decrease, they may find they have additional time for online learning. Webinars can be a valuable tool for staff to learn more related to their job function and keep up with other hot topics.”
On March 20, a particularly pertinent topic, “Pandemic Preparedness: Managing Coronavirus & Other Epidemics,” will be covered and is offered as a FREE webinar for league member credit unions. After the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Improve your business continuity plan and procedures
- Develop a detailed pandemic preparedness plan
- Take practical, easy-to-implement steps to minimize staffing issues
- Conduct exercises to test your pandemic preparedness plan
