The final countdown is here, and we are looking forward to an outstanding Southeast Credit Union Conference and Expo this week. Make sure to check out the schedule of events here which includes course descriptions, speaker bios, and locations of breakouts. There are so many choices this year, so don’t miss a thing! New Attendee Welcome Session – New to SCUCE? Come to this informational session on Wednesday from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. in Marbella 1 to learn about what to expect during the conference.

Exhibit Hall Happenings:

Wednesday:

CEO Preview (Invitation only): 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., sponsored by Corporate One FCU, Booth 404

Join us for “Wine Around the World” which features wine and champagne from four countries.

Exhibit Hall Grand Opening: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m., Take this opportunity to network and meet our exhibitors. Also, LEVERAGE is sponsoring a complimentary professional headshot photo booth (located in Row 1000).

Thursday:

12:30 – 1:30 p.m.: Visit the exhibit hall between 12:30  – 1:30 p.m. to enjoy dessert and network!

4:30 – 6:30 p.m.: Our opening keynote speaker, Vinh Giang, will demonstrate close-up magic tricks and will be available for a Meet & Greet from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Be sure to buy your raffle tickets for a chance to win $5,000 and support the SECUF, courtesy of CUNA Mutual Group. The drawing will be held in the CMG booth at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Tickets may be purchased in the rotunda.

Xquisite Xperience – Celebrate ten years of SCUCE at this year’s closing dinner! You are invited to a black and white masquerade ball featuring the band Big Night Dynamite. Black and white cocktail to black tie attire is encouraged and you are invited to make it colorful with a beautiful mask! The night’s best mask will be voted on and will win two nights at the Hyatt Regency in Bonita Springs! Admission for dinner is included in a full priced attendee and guest registration. It is $99 for all other registration types including exhibitors.

General Sessions:

Vinh Giang, entrepreneur and magician, will kick off the opening keynote with a fun twist on perspective. Timothy Alexander is our closing keynote on Friday who will talk about how his life changed after a life altering car accident in 2006. To close us out, Jim Nussle, CEO of CUNA, will sit down with our very own Patrick La Pine and take questions from our audience.

Reception:

Corporate One and LEVERAGE are hosting this year’s opening reception in Monterey. It’s a Caribbean Carnaval theme featuring a band, bar, smoothie flights, selfie station, and more. Plan to be there from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. on Wednesday night!

Golf:

We are bringing back the SECUF Golf Tournament! This is one of our favorite events for both attendees and exhibitors. We will kick off with a light breakfast on Wednesday at Ritz-Carlton’s golf course at 6:30 am. The tournament starts promptly at 7:15 a.m.

Disney Institute:

CUNA is providing access to the Disney Leadership Institute for our attendees. Usually a week-long leadership program, Disney has compacted six days into a four-hour fast-paced, hands-on workshop. This is a unique opportunity for established and upcoming leaders. Register here.
