SCUCE ended Friday with an incredible day of information sharing and celebration. Dr. Mae Jemison, the first woman of color to go into space, highlighted the morning session with a challenge to attendees to look up, push for the extraordinary, and to remember that every day you are creating the future.

All LSCU 2018 Award winners were honored at SCUCE and included:

CU of the Year <100M: Naheola CU

CU of the Year 100-500M: Community South CU

CU of the Year >500M: Alabama One Credit Union

YP of the Year:  Ben Teske, America’s First CU

Professional of the Year: Laida Garcia, floridacentral CU

Volunteer of the Year: Tom Shea, Guardians CU

Distinguished Service:  David Brock, Community Credit Union

Friday night’s dinner and celebration, Bourbon and Bowties, culminated with a record-breaking silent auction total of $24,000 raised for the Children’s Miracle Network and the LSCU PACs.  Thank you to everyone who supported this cause and helped make this initiative such a success.
