Young Professionals Celebrated the Credit Union Difference at the Annual Think Tank

Last week, more than 80 credit union young professionals attended the annual Young Professionals Think Tank in Jacksonville, Florida. During this two-day event, attendees had the opportunity to network with other credit unions professionals across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

On day one, Joel Swanson, VyStar Credit Union’s Chief Membership Experience Officer, facilitated a Standout Assessment, which helps determine an individual’s personalized strengths. Samantha Beeler, President of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions, gave an incredible presentation on Advocacy and even shared her credit union story with the group. Joanna Richards of Joanna Richards Leadership spoke about shifting your career into high gear and what it takes to be a leader in the industry. The first day ended with an amazing networking opportunity reception sponsored by Corporate America Credit Union.

Day two also offered a variety of engaging speakers. Misty Waldrop, Marketing Manager at Growth by Design, spoke about Sharing the Credit Union Difference and even provided some valuable marketing tips. Renee Sattiewhite, President and CEO of the African-American Credit Union Coalition, joined the young professionals and spoke about Creating a Culture of Belonging, allowing plenty of time for a Q&A session. Finally, attendees heard from Sedric Brinson, Chairman and Co-Founder of LEAD Mississippi, who shared a presentation on Untapped Discovery of your WHY and spoke about becoming a leader.

Attendees left the Young Professionals Think Tank feeling inspired and re-energized in their career paths.
