SECUF logoGiving Tuesday sets aside a time to recognize organizations that do good through gifts in the spirit of the season of giving. The designated day was created when two organizations, the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation came together in 2012, about a month before that year’s Thanksgiving. Their intention was to set aside a day that was all about celebrating the generosity of giving, a great American tradition.

This year when the designated day rolls around Dec. 3, please remember to give to the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation, which lives its mission to serve as a catalyst for credit unions to collectively effect change through charitable giving and education. With an emphasis on core credit union issues, such as financial education, professional development and training, community development and disaster relief, the SECUF assists credit unions throughout the year.

“The Southeastern Credit Union Foundation is dedicated to improving lives by helping credit unions better serve their members and communities,” said Bobbi Grady, SECUF development coordinator. “Your support helps us realize this vision. Thank you for joining our efforts to help strengthen credit unions and empower communities.”

Make a donation to contribute to SECUF and its efforts to help credit unions through charity, community and cooperation. For additional details, contact Bobbi Grady at 205.437.2128
