NYIB works with ECUC to host financial education webinar

The National Youth Involvement Board canceled its annual conference due to the coronavirus pandemic and began thinking of ways to help credit unions continue their financial education outreach while practicing social distancing. NYIB collaborated with the Education Credit Union Council to develop a webinar that brings financial educators and education-based credit unions together. The plan is to share the top financial education outreach concerns, showcase out of the box ideas, and best of all, connect with credit unions who share the same mission.

Join the conversation on April 21 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET. Register here.

SECUF Director Juli Lewis said,“For credit unions of all sizes, the National Youth Involvement Board offers resources and networking opportunities to enhance your financial education outreach and impact on the communities you serve. As they partner with the Education Credit Union Council for this free webinar, it is certain to be packed with many useful takeaways.”

Juli encourages credit union staff to report financial education numbers through nyib.org. The number of students reached, as well as the number of presentations given, are tracked and reported back to the states and to law makers. For more information or assistance in reporting, please contact Juli.Lewis@lscu.coop.
