For the upcoming Financial Fitness Challenge, YPGs, Chapters, individual credit unions, chambers, or other approved organizations may register a team of up to three high school students with a $250 sponsorship. There is no limit to the number of teams that may be sponsored! The students do not have to attend the same school and may even be children of credit union employees. The only requirement is that at least one is a credit union member (or becomes one).

  • What is the challenge? Questions will be trivia style, material will come from NEFE and VISA’s Practical Money Skills. We will provide the materials as soon as the team is registered so the sooner, the better! Materials are on-line as well as a study guide that is provided.
  • Playoff games will determine a Champion team from each Chapter (if more than one team is registered in that Chapter).
Chapter Champion teams will compete on-line to determine the top 2 finalists from each state.
  • What can the students win? Lots of prizes, including CASH! (The top four teams also get an expense paid trip to Orlando during our convention…along with other surprises). ALL participants receive shirts! The Championship team gets a trophy to display as well!
  • What can the sponsor win? Besides bragging rights, the Chapter/YPG/Credit Union/Organization represented by the winning team will take home the coveted LSCU Financial Fitness Trophy!

Financial Fitness Timeline
Now-March 1: Registration (the sooner teams register, the more time they have to study)

June 8, 2018: Final LIVE competition among Top 4 teams (travel and hotel expense paid for students, chaperone and coach) JW Marriott Grande Lakes 4040 Central Florida Pkwy Orlando, FL 32837
