The First Ever Financial Counselor’s Chat is This Thursday

The Southeastern Credit Union Foundation (SECUF) is partnering with the Louisiana Credit Union League (LCUL) to host the first Counselor Chats, a free quarterly Zoom chat for financial counselors on June 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. CST. This event is open to any Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) of any League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates) affiliated credit union.

During the first Counselor Chat we will talk with two Louisiana-based credit unions about the impacts they’ve made with Reality Fairs and Simulations. Be prepared to glean insights into how and why these credit unions strategically planned for simulation integration for their communities and staff, discuss setting goals to measure the impact after implementation, and discover additional simulations that may be that perfect match for your credit union’s financial counseling program.

Immediately following the Chat, we’ll introduce and demo the brand-new Counselor’s Corner, a free networking and information sharing tool for CCUFCs. The Counselor Chats is an extended service of the FiCEP Portal, the instructional enhancement tool used by those who earned their CCUFC designation. These free conversations will highlight credit unions who are making an impact with their members and their communities inside the realm of financial literacy and allow for open conversation.

Reserve your seat at the next Counselor’s Chat here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
