Alloya’s annual Leadership Symposium to be presented virtually in 2020

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Credit Union Executive Leadership Symposium will be held virtually from Sept. 10-11. Although credit union executives from across the nation will not be able to gather in Chicago, Ill., for Alloya Corporate FCU’s sixth annual Symposium, the corporate looks forward to hosting the event online and providing the same great education to credit union leaders – all free of charge.

“It was a bittersweet but necessary decision to present our annual Leadership Symposium virtually this year,” said Alloya’s Tim Bruculere, senior vice president, membership. “We all look forward to gathering for this event each September, but COVID-19 presented us with the unique opportunity to create a virtual, more accessible rendition of our Symposium.”

The event will include two half-days of online education, beginning Thursday, Sept. 10, at 10:30 a.m. CT, and again on Friday, Sept. 11, at 11 am CT. The virtual presentation of the Symposium makes it more convenient for credit union leaders to attend, and Alloya has eliminated the registration fee in continuation of its efforts to provide as much relief as possible during these uncertain economic times.

Agenda highlights include keynote speaker Ginger Hardage, Founder of Unstoppable Cultures and former senior vice president of culture and communications at Southwest Airlines; Lee Rubin, former captain of the Penn State football team; and a live panel discussion on The Aftermath for Credit Unions: COVID-19 and the Presidential Election.

Keeping with tradition, the corporate’s Board of Directors Annual Meeting will also be held in conjunction with the Leadership Symposium on Sept. 10 at 10:30 a.m. CT. Credit union professionals are invited to attend, and additional registration separate from the Leadership Symposium is not required.
