Council members network, learn from fellow payment professionals and hear from outside experts in this field. LEVERAGE Payment Services clients are members of the LSCU Payments Council through their Card Processing and/or Chargeback Recovery agreement. Other qualifying credit unions may also join the LSCU Payments Council.

The first virtual meeting will focus on two main topics:

Overcoming Internal Barriers for Credit Card Growth

Focusing on how all areas of the credit union can lead to growth or inhibit growth. Many times, employee perception or buy-in is the biggest issue to overcome. Conservative underwriting, credit lines that are too low at account opening, lack of lifecycle management, are also big factors. Learn how to tackle these challenges – and more!

Impact Your Interchange Income Through Network Selection

Debit is most used and preferred method of payment and is an important component of your credit union’s non-interest income. The evolving nature of the debit presents challenges in finding the best network that addresses financial performance, regulatory compliance, value beyond transactions and a seamless experience for your members. This presentation addresses factors to consider when evaluating your debit portfolio and network choices along with actionable insight on how your credit union can maximize debit card interchange.
