The Southeast Leadership Development Conference is already underway in Destin this morning. The Southeastern Credit Union Foundation Charity Golf Outing teed off at 8 a.m. The outing benefits the foundation and the programs it has for credit unions. The exhibit hall also opens this afternoon at 4:15 p.m.

Attendees have a number of sessions they can attend on Wednesday. The Young Professionals Group has a Philosophy in Action session this morning. Directors have two VAP courses to choose from this afternoon – Director’s Liabilities and CEO/Board Succession Planning. For three hours in the afternoon, a Mad City Money Reality Fair is being held with local kids getting a chance to learn about managing money. A CEO Roundtable will precede the opening of the exhibit hall.

The night will end with Fireworks over the beach courtesy of CUNA Mutual Group. On Thursday, the schedule kicks in with the general session speakers including Doug Nielson on ownership advantage, Brent Dixon on collaborative consumption, Vining Sparks Chief Economist Craig Dismuke giving an economic update, and Alabama House Majority Whip Rep. Randy Davis speaking during the Governmental Affairs luncheon. There is still time to register on site, if you want to attend.
