CU Times recently announced its 2024 Luminaries Awards finalists, recognizing exceptional credit union-supporting professionals and organizations that play a vital role in the financial cooperative system. Among the 48 finalists selected from a record number of submissions are three leaders from the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates): Steve Willis, Samantha Beeler, and Sydney Seral.
These individuals earned recognition for their outstanding contributions and leadership, showcasing their dedication to advancing the credit union movement and serving member-owners with innovative solutions.
- Steve Willis, President of LEVERAGE and Affiliates Consolidated Services (ACS), was named a finalist in the Third Party – Executive Leadership – CUSOs category. Steve’s leadership has been pivotal in delivering products and services to credit unions through LEVERAGE.
- Samantha Beeler, President of LSCU, was recognized in the Third Party – Executive Leadership – Leagues & Trades category. Samantha’s work in guiding credit unions across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia has earned her a place among the industry’s top leaders, and her influence continues to shape the future of the financial cooperative sector.
- Sydney Seral, Chief Advocacy Officer at LSCU, was highlighted as a Third Party – Rising Star. Sydney’s stands out for her exceptional advocacy work in representing credit unions’ interest at the state and federal levels.
